PODCASTS 051 - 60
VISUAL ARTIST - NIC SMITH

For our 51st episode, we have something really special for you all.
A little under 2.5 hours of pure original works from 1/4 founder ADMINISTRATOR - either released, unreleased, self-mastered, finished, or not. This mix represents almost 6 years of productions, scores of tracks made in different spaces and places, and the raw, gradual evolution of creative practice. It is the summation of a very long journey through electronic music, and we are proud to be able to exhibit it today.

Hence, the mix is broken up into 5 partitions, each of which represents a different segment of the ADMINISTRATOR's database.

A mix by the Сzernowitz-based selector and Will-o'-the-wisp podcast curator @menzurrr
"At some point, I started collecting definitions that I saw in different places in the network, pointing in my direction. Here are some examples: "instinct rather than concept", "boundless enthusiasm", "amorphous sounds", "overwrought", "as an antidote to", "comprehensive" and the favorite "so-called leftfield swerves."

Based in Switzerland, HASHTAGA made a name for himself by playing in different places with his crew Manareïm, a label and collective created by a group of friends who wanted throw parties and share hard music genres. Hashtaga likes to say his productions belong to the “Dream Industrial” genre, a mix between industrial, hardcore, with some breaks and ambient pads.

NCRC is a 21 years old Techno DJ based in Istanbul, Turkey. She's been playing driving industrial techno since the beginning of 2020. Before being a DJ, she has been playing piano since her childhood. Today, she is the resident of Dark Basement, a hard drive industrial techno program at Radio Racoon and AAJA Deptford.
INSTASIS is very excited about this one, both to have a wider diversity of artists on our roster, and to have been contact by NCRC herself without prompt. Listen in below...

To welcome 2021 with a B O O M, we have Melbourne's Sinister serving up an hour of unrelenting tunes.
His bio:
Sinister is a Melbourne based DJ and jointly runs event series Static. His style is an incorporation of distorted dark tones reflecting industrial and fast-paced techno which are rapidly intertwined to keep the listener captivated.

It's always so nice to see friends and associates work hard to achieve something. DJ Glug, having had almost no musical background, has completely committed himself to learning the art of vinyl DJing, building up a solid collection of records, and in doing so, has come leaps and bounds in putting together his sets. This mix is an absolutely excellent example of someone pushing themselves to grow, and showing results in the process - with seamless transitions, the ebbs and flows of NRG, and super tight mixing finesse that showcases this type of 90s gear perfectly.
